Our Community Grants Program is designed to support grassroots, community-led, food justice focused nonprofit organizations. Our goal is to transform food systems to be more accessible, regenerative, and just, because we believe that everyone deserves the right to grow, sell, buy, and eat nourishing, culturally relevant food.

Our grants prioritize organizations working to remove systemic barriers that prevent everyone from accessing nourishing foods. We focus our funding on the three regions where we have a retail presence:

  1. Vermont, New Hampshire & Massachusetts
  2. Maryland, Virginia & District of Columbia
  3. Washington

King Arthur Baking Company is strongly rooted in community. Since 1790, it has been our mission to use business as a force for good and to build stronger, healthier communities. To leave the world better than we found it. To dream bigger. To leave a positive impact on people and the planet. We work with nonprofits across the country to positively impact communities where we do business, to give back to those who have supported us along the way, and to advocate for a future that's bright for all.

We prioritize supporting nonprofit organizations working to remove systemic barriers that prevent everyone from accessing nourishing foods. We are proud to donate one baking class participation in the form of a gift card valued at $145.

Guidelines
Who can apply:

  • Organizations with 501(c)(3) status

Who do we give to:

  • We look for opportunities to support organizations that work to fight hunger, food insecurities, and address issues facing our environment.
  • In addition, we are continually inspired by our employee-owners’ passions and do what we can to support the myriad causes they gie their time to champion.
  • While we would like to support all that is good and worthy, please understand that because of demand, we often must decline.

Who we don’t give to:

  • Because our support is cause-related and most of it goes to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, the following will be declined: teams, athletes, bands, sponsorships and financial solicitations. Often times, inquiries of this nature aren't considered charitable and do not align with our giving program.
